Advertisers Want Bloggers with Their Own Domain

One of the ways to get noticed and achieve fast branding is to have your own domain name... such as bloggerbroadcast.com rather than bloggerbroadcast.blogspot.com, especially if you are monetizing your blog.
Advertisers want to see that you have a "name" and a domain, whether it is [dot]com, [dot]net, or dot]org. Having your own domain name will increase the chance of getting more jobs from advertisers. Of course there are other things to consider when aiming to entice advertisers such as your website's traffic rank and Page Rank.

To purchase a domain name, use a reputable site like "go daddy", I am using them and have no problem so far. Or you can search online to find hosting sites that offer FREE domain name. You will find in some useful details and comments in my article FREE Domain Name very useful if you are in the market for your own domain.

And "cheers" to our very own domain.

  4. Hi Jenilee, When I moved to .com from blogspot, Blogger did it automatically and it took several days. It transferred everything fine, otherwise, you might need to download the entire template and paste it yourself. I guess I need more specifics to be able to answer you fully. :-)

  7. My domain was the gift that my son gave me for my birthday, and it made me feel much more like a bona-fide blogger.

You could also visit the site http://ownemaildomain.net/ as it provides good information on creating your own e-mail domain. The site has step by step instructions and the site creator shares his lessons learned from over seven years of having his own email domain. I'm confident that this information will help both beginners and advanced users who want to create their own email domain.
    Best of luck.
